Russians show their full potential
The Russian Team defeated Sweden 5-1 in a game that allowed the Russians to show their full potential. They were very equal at the beginning of the game, although Team Russia used its best attacks right from the first minutes.
During the first period Team Russia was winning 2-0, which made them feel comfortable for the rest of the game. The second period was more equal. Team Sweden scored 1-1 thanks to Bergqvist´s goal near the first 30 minutes of the game. Russia dominated the third period, displaying 2-0 in the scoreboard. Team Sweden resisted until minute 53, but Fedorov´s goal secured the victory for the Russian team.
According to Viacheslav Uvaev, the Russian coach: “Nikita Cherepanov and Ruslan Rafikov were our best bet for this game. Although, I don´t want to talk about single players, since everybody played very well”. On the other hand, the Swedish player, Stefan Bergqvist said “we´re very satisfied with this result, since winning this game wasn´t our main objective”.
