Kazakhstan beats Japan in the first match of the group stage
The first match of ice hockey of the Winter Universiade 2015 faced off Kazakhstan and Japan, ending with the victory of the Kazakh team 3 - 2. They knew how to recover themselves, after starting losing, winning the game at the end of the third period.
In the first period both teams reach several times the attack zone, without scoring. It wasn’t till the resumption, in the second period, when Japan scores the first goal. The Kazakhs didn’t fall apart and, in the last minutes of the second third, they were able to turn the situation around thanks to the role of the Kazakh’s goalkeeper, which made three meritorious interventions.
After the break the match had its last minutes and it finished with the final victory of the Kazakh team, which scored the third and final goal reaching the victory in the final moments of the game, considering that they had to recover from the second goal of the Japanese team that score the equalizer.
