The Universiade flag already in Granada

The Universiade has already arrived to Granada. Today, the flag hosting has taken place, after the FISU's was lowed in Slovakia by the economist councilor of the Hispanic city, Francisco Ledesma.

A multitidinarian event that the citizens of the city have enjoyed in the centric Puerta Real. The city personalities and the FISU personalities has starred the event with the major JoséTorres Hurtado and  Claude- Louis Gallien, head of the FISU. Together with them was the rector of the University of Granada, Francisco González Lodeiro, the government delegate of the Junta de Andalucía in the city of Granada; Sandra García, the lieutenant of the major, Juan Antonio Mérida,  the sport Counselor of the local government, Antonio Granados and the CEO of the Winter Universiade, Ignacio Pipó.

The event was enlivened by the University Orchestra, who played the FISU and Granada city anthems.

During his brief speech, Gallien has thanked all the people who has joined the event and showed his satisfaction for the co-organisation of the event in to different countries. The major of the city and the president of the organizing committee, José Torres Hurtado, said that this celebration is "such a joy" as "it is a great opportunity to promote the city of Granada all over the world". Also he is convinced that "this will be one of many sports success that Granada has organized."

Tomorrow  the "Ruta de la Tapa" in collaboration with la Federación de Hostelería  will be presented  in Plaza del Carmen at  11.00. In the afternoon there will be an official visit to the different competition sceneries.
