Moguls and Snowboard Cross trainings heat the atmosphere before the competitions
Today, 3rd of February 2015 began the activities of the Winter Universiade Granada 2015 in Sierra Nevada.
With a harsh weather during the early morning, which caused a small delay in the beginning of the event, began the trainings of Moguls (Freestyle Skiing) and Boarder Cross (Snowboard) both in the female and men categories.
After the free trainings, Ander Zamora, the best positioned Spanish of the F.I.S. ranking of Moguls made a statement saying that, in spite of the snowfall of yesterday night, 15cm of new snow, he found the slope in very good conditions compare to the previous days, and he assures that, looking ahead to the beginning of the competitions, it won’t be a problem to compete.
Javier López, finish-line coordinator of Moguls, and Alberto Sánchez, head of sector 2 of Boarder and Ski Cross, agree on the fact that, in spite of having some wind in the early morning, the runners were able to go down correctly; looking ahead to the beginning of the competitions, the snowstorm benefits the slope, considering that it helps to maintain the snow cover hard and compact, which it’s very positive for the perfect line and the riders. Both assure that the good conditions of the slope after the snowfall of the last hours will bring exciting moments in the day of the race.
For tomorrow he points out the beginning of the Super G trainings in the discipline of Alpine Ski, the king of the winter sports; in addition to the new trainings of M oguls in Freestyle Skiing and the first Half-pipe training in Snowboard, all of them in the men and women categories.
